Mill gearbox

Aim: High accuracy gearbox for mill.

Ratios of each gear and power/torque were guidelines for this project. There is no way to obtain right teeth number on each of 16 gear just like that. There had to be calculator created. There was some old calculator created by somebody from my university. I needed more accurate calculation, which leads genuine teeth number to the last calculation, without any approximation. I designed two Excel spreadsheets – one for matching 4 teeth numbers for given two ratios, and one for total calculation of used gears. Resulted precision turned out to be way higher than I have expected. Mechanical calculations such were performed to get right pitch. Assembly drawing is just cherry on top.
