Aim: Build accurate surface model from poor quality 3D-scan mesh.
3D-scan mesh has been captured with FARO scanner. Mesh quality was very low and there has been no coordinates system created. In Solidworks 2017 was no mesh-recognition option so it has been imported as an image.
Setting right coordinate system with virtual axis, points and planes empowered circle-pattern creation. Surface has been made mainly with sketch-on-sketch overlay to obtain 3D curve, which was essential to build right surfaces. Explore 3D model below!
